KinderStart is a transition to school program developed by the Department of Education’s Early Childhood Development-Kindergarten Working Group in 2002. It consists of a series of one-hour orientation sessions for children and their parents/caregivers in the year prior to Kindergarten entry. A KinderStart program guide has been provided to schools throughout the province along with activity resources for Kindergarten classrooms. During the first KinderStart session, children and their parents/caregivers will be provided with an activity resource bag and suggestions for home activities.

KinderStart 2010-2011


 The date of our first Kinderstart session involving both parent and child will be Friday, March 19, 2010.  Parents are reminded to check the schedules distributed at the Parent Information Meeting to verify the time that your child is scheduled to attend.

Current Kindergarten classes will be cancelled on this day (January 29th) to facilitate our Kinderstart sessions.  All other classes will continue as usual.
